被Facebook收購後的Instagram將保持獨立品牌，不過將會增加與Facebook之間的關連功能。這對於向來堅持將所有東西整合到Facebook的Zuckerberg來說，算是相當少見的狀況。在過去的18個月中，Google與Facebook都曾經與Instagram提出收購談判，不過都沒有任何結果，而在最後Facebook開出了超高的溢價收購。
Instagram之前的公司估值為5億美金，根據TechCrunch的消息，恰好在上週四投資Instagram的投資者，他們的錢將瞬間變成兩倍。而正式的收購程序，將在本季內完成。

We’ve had an amazing time watching Instagram grow into a vibrant community of people from all around the globe. Today, we couldn’t be happier to announce that Instagram has agreed to be acquired by Facebook.

The Instagram app will still be the same one you know and love. You’ll still have all the same people you follow and that follow you.You’ll still be able to share to other social networks. And you’ll still have all the other features that make the app so fun and unique.
We’re psyched to be joining Facebook and are excited to build a better Instagram for everyone.
