Aero Charts, the first true aeronautical charts have arrived! Featuring combined VFR+IFR information and Direct-to navigation, this application is perfect for mission planning and as a backup device. Created by an enthusiastic aviator with airplane, seaplane and helicopter ratings, including an instrument airplane rating.
Features include:
- Vector chart derived from official FAA data. Information includes Class B,C,D,E Airspace (including Special Use Airspace), Airways, Fixes, Holding Patterns, Navaids and Airports.
- Continuous and seamless coverage in the region of your choice. No more having to flip sectionals!
- Complete OFFLINE chart database is included. No 3G or WiFi connection required.
- VFR and IFR colors and symbology. Featuring symbology derived from NACO's official symbology.
- Tap the chart to get feature information including FAA notes, Airway MEA's, and Navaid and Airport Communications.
- Quick search for features by using the search bar at the top.
- Find your position, speed and track using the iPhone's built-in location services.
- Direct-to navigation. Press the Direct-to button and type the FAA code of a Fix, Navaid, Airport or user-defined Waypoint.
- "Ruler" tool for measuring distance/bearing between any two points.
- Add, edit and delete waypoints. [Hold finger over chart to add a new waypoint.]
