iStates (and iCapitals) is an education a d fun game which helps children and adults learn their states and capitals with help from the iPhone.
A map of the United States is shown and by selecting a state you are asked to supply the correct name and the capital of the states. As you correctly answer states a smiley is placed on the map and if the state is selected after the correct name and capital is answered, a list of information about that state is presented.
When all states have been correctly answered, your score is presented (number or incorrect answers). If you get all the states correct with no mistakes, you are presented with the ability to add you name to the Winners List which every user of the game can see under preferences
This is great learning fun for the whole family. Great fun and educational as well as good to pass the time on a long trip or any other time when you have a few minutes to spare. The set of states correctly answered is retained between sessions so you never have to worry about loosing your place.
