GPS Log is a location recording and tagging app. You can log your current location and add whatever additional data you like including a title, notes, tags, and pictures from the camera or photo library.

Rapidly log places you visit without needing to find and record a street address! Later, browse through your log and view the locations in the Maps app, or email yourself a Google Maps link. Then, export the lot and view in Google Earth or your favorite GPX map application.

GPS Log LITE can store up to 5 locations. GPS Log has no such limit.

Importantly – NO DATA CONNECTION is required when logging locations, so you can take GPS Log anywhere including countries where you have no data connection or locations with no reception. Some auxiliary features like viewing in Maps and emailing exports do require a data connection.

GPS Log does NOT continuously log your location like some other Apps. Such continuous logging drains the iPhone battery very quickly which may not always be desirable in travel and adventure situations. Rather – you chose when to log your position, power up the device, get the location fix quickly, then power it down.

It is recommended to use GPS Log with the iPhone 3G as it has GPS hardware. Locations obtained with other devices may be inaccurate.
