Our kids LOVE the iPhone and iPod Touch! We are continuing to develop fun applications that stimulate and inspire children to learn and practice math both at home and at school.

This app targets children in grades 4-6 to help them practice, master, and gain confidence with Percentages, Fractions, and Decimals. These concepts while foundational and relatively straightforward, often create much anxiety with children let alone adults! This version of this application initially focusing on Percentages and Fractions presenting children with choices that reflect common mistakes along with the correct answer, so that they can learn, practice, and master the activities.

For Percentages, Kids % Fun allows children to add and subtract percentages in the range of 0-99%, to multiple a percentage (1-99%) by a whole number (1-20), and to practice determining the equivalency of a percentage (1-99%) to a decimal and a decimal to a percentage. All the questions are randomly generated, but are designed with internal rules to be practical and solvable by children at these grade level.

For Fractions, Kids % Fun allows children to add and subtract fractions in the range of 1/9 to 9/9, to multiply a whole number (1-20) by a fraction (1/9 to 9/9) by answering questions such as 1/2 of 12 = ?, and to learn the equivalency of a fraction to a decimal such as 3/4 = 0.75. All of the fractions are randomly generated, but with guidelines designed to encourage children to master their skills and not get frustrated. Answers are automatically reduced to least common denominator and all the fractions are proper, non-mixed.

As is standard with our apps, instant feedback, high score, Minute Math and Double Dare features, along with 230 winter, beach, holiday, and toy graphics are included.
