YiqYaq is a personalized, community-based online radio network. All content is user-generated.

With the YiqYaq iPhone application you can stream YiqYaq Radio on-the-go over WiFi, 3G, and Edge networks. You can also contribute directly and immediately to the YiqYaq Radio stream for all other listeners (or just your friends) to hear. On an iPod Touch, all features except for recording are supported.

YiqYaq is based on the assumption that no single radio channel can satisfy anyone’s exact needs. Like all media, radio is ripe for a revolution of personalization and democratization. Large, professional media producers fulfill a need, but so do small micro-producers: hobbyist DJs, opinionated audio bloggers, and your friends. YiqYaq radio is creating a place for all types of audio to blend together in just the way that any individual wants to hear it.

- tuner configuration to combine multiple tagged channels (music, talk, excercise, opinions, jokes, news, etc..) into your personalized stream
- recording and uploading up to 33 seconds of audio. This allows you to capture and share your ideas, thoughts, and all the sounds of your environment live with others and hear what your friends are doing now, hearing now, and saying now.
- rating user-contributed audio (like or dislike), or marking content as nsfw
- filtering out obscene (nsfw) material
- tagging audio for later action: finding content creators, sharing with friends, etc.
