XLIBRIS is a book database with powerful search and export facilities.
Simply enter the ISBN number and the bibliographic data (including cover, author, title, publisher, publishing date, edition, dimensions, number of pages, and Dewey Classification Number) will be downloaded from the net.
Notes can be attached to any book. The user could add the genre and search for all notes containing ‘Crime’. More importantly, the user can find all books that have been borrowed and not returned.
The database can be searched for Author, Title, Publisher, Edition or Note. Search terms can be OR’d in any field. All fields are ANDED together.
The complete database, or search results, can be exported in various formats: Author, Title, Full Record or Tab delimited files.
The database and Search Results can be sorted by either Author or Title. When the sort order is Author, the database is also sub-sorted by title.
xLibris provides a statistical analysis of the library, displaying the total number of books and the number of books in the database for each author.
