StopperStimmung™ was invented in 1988 by german master piano maker Bernhard Stopper and is a slightly stretched tuning.

The recently discovered symmetry inherent in StopperStimmung™ creates an outstanding tone on your violon. The compromise of tempering dissappears by symmetric interferencing vibrations from the open strings. The fifths still sound like pure tuned while maintaining best compatibility to tempered instruments like the piano.

TUNIC CELLO 440:
The basic version with standard 440 Hz pitch.

For the professional user, TUNIC CELLO is available on the app store with a variable pitch range from 415-460 Hz.

The tuner is very simple to use:
Start the tuner, select the note to tune, and try to match the two pointers until there are no more gaps between the pointers. The yellow pointer is for coarse tuning (+-100 cent) and the green pointer for fine tuning. Resolution (green): +-10 cent/480 pixels = 0.04 cent.

As the extreme precision requires a high amount of processor performance, note selection is manually.
