Description:Chirp! USA is a fun guide to the bird songs of the best loved birds of backyards, gardens, parks and woodland across the United States.
Tap the name of the bird to hear its song, tap again to stop the song. Learning bird songs can be hard, but not with Chirp! USA. Simply tap the bird photo to flip it over and reveal a short description of the song with helpful tips. After listening, try the quiz to test your memory. Answer fast to earn a score multiplier and get on the high score table!
A key feature is that the birds can be arranged in both alphabetical order and also in order of commonness, so you can learn the most common ones first, then move on to less frequent backyard visitors. This also helps when you are trying to identify a garden visitor as you can see the most likely candidates first.
On first use, Chirp! USA will select the birds for your current location, but you are free to select any area of the United States on the Map Screen, to compare the common species from east to west and north to south. Or you may prefer to select all birds to see and hear the whole range.
Chirp! USA currently includes 40 birds and there will regularly be a new additions. We hope these will be chosen by you - visit the Info Screen to find out how to make suggestions and to vote for the birds you want to see added.
