One key finding was that fast teams knew the economics of delay; what each late day costs them in lost profit. They used this information to create urgency and quickly make informed decision trade-offs. npdCalc implements this best practice and helps new product development teams function more like businesses.

npdCalc uses a product's business case for a new product development project and generates a financial summary including the Cost of Delay, margin, profit, return on investment information (ROI), etc. The business case and financial summary can be e-mailed in a form that can be cut-and-paste into Excel or Numbers.
