About the Author
During the summer of my tenth year, a friend and I decided that we would write a novel together. As we were both big Walter Farley fans, we chose as our topic the story of a boy and a wild horse set in the American west. We worked on it all summer, but we never got very far. You see, we knew nothing of wild horses, or Montana (we lived in the Bronx), and this rather put a crimp in our style.

Many years later, when I had retired from high school teaching to rear a family, I decided to try my hand at a novel once more. I fared rather better this time, and The Counterfeit Marriage, a Regency, was published in 1980. I have had 30 more books published since then. When I am not writing, I am either riding my wonderful horse, Pendleton, or taking care of my dog and three cats. My husband, Joe, and my two children, Jay and Pam, also require my attention.
