Shush Buddy transforms your iPhone into a device specifically designed to help quiet your fussy baby. White noise "shushing sounds" help comfort a crying baby as they reproduce the sounds baby was used to hearing while on the inside. While parents can shush as well as any recording, fussy babies can often outlast Mom and Dad's energy and patience. As such, pediatricians often recommend using household appliances such as hair dryers or vacuum cleaners to achieve this same result. However, it is not terribly feasible to keep such devices at quick reach, plugged in, and ready for instant use. This is especially true when on-the-go. Pulling out a hair dryer and finding an outlet just doesn't work when at the mall and is guaranteed to get you some strange looks and questions when visiting relatives or friends. To this end Shush Buddy includes twelve quality recordings of these types of shushing sounds. All sounds play in seamless loops to keep shushing your baby for as long as is needed.

A crying baby is also no time for a lot of tapping, swiping, or general interaction with a computer program. Shush Buddy's user interface has been specifically designed for quick and easy "one thumb" operation. Your "go-to" sounds are just a tap away and its timer and volume functions can similarly be set with ease.

Finally, Shush Buddy grows with you and your baby. Advanced functions allow you to record your own shushing sounds and play them back in seamless loops just like those built right in to the application. Baby knows your voice best so record yourself shushing or singing a lullaby to help comfort your child. Sounds that work well for you are likely to work well for others. Sounds you record can, optionally, be shared with the public for use by other Shush Buddy users. Conversely, as a Shush Buddy user, you will have access to the currently growing library of shared sounds.

The Fine Print:

* For safety Shush Buddy will not play back sounds through your device's headphone/headset jack. Any external speakers must be connected to your device via the dock connector.

* Shush Buddy's sound sharing functions require Internet access via either 3G (iPhone) or WiFi (iPhone or iPod Touch) networks.

* When used on the 2nd generation iPod Touch an external microphone is required to make use of Shush Buddy's audio recording features.
