What's New

New Features:
- OpenFeint integrated
- New 'Extreme' difficulty mode

Enhancements:
- Increased player responsiveness
- Increased player trail length by 6%
- Tweaked all player/enemy collision to make it slightly more generous
- Links and combos are no longer reset when the player dies
- Greatly reduced time it takes to initiate another trail when exiting/completing a warp
- New link mechanic with greatly improved scoring effect. Link now acts as multiplier for capture total of linked warp (note: this is the standard capture total, not the combo'd bonus)
- Better balanced bonus rounds
- Improved rocket spawning system
- Increased time that pickups take to spawn in, to make it much less likely that an existing warp will capture it
- Resuming a saved game now deducts one point off the score, up to a maximum of 9, so as to indicate if (and how many times) the game has been saved/resumed.
- Reduced the time that a lazer beam stays in fire mode.
- Better app icon
- "Extreme" versions of all enemies
- Changed "Extra life" to "1-up" :p

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed rare bug where under certain conditions the player movement stopped responding
- Fixed some bugs with the in-game save
- Fixed bug in link mechanic when capturing enemies in certain unusual orders
- Fixed bug where music would sometimes stop playing after resume from lock mode.
- Fixed bug in bonus game where max combo limit sometimes wouldn't restrict properly
- Fixed bug in main game where max combo limit sometimes wouldn't restrict properly

Concerning these last two bugs. I'm very sorry that they were in 1.0, but I feel that because of them, along with the extensive balancing I have done, that the 1.0 scores aren't applicable in 1.1 any more. Hence the decision to not migrate 1.0 scores into 1.1 and OpenFeint.

I feel that all these changes have significantly improved the gameplay, and it is now as well balanced as I can make it. I can assure you that scores will stay from now on!

Thanks,
Marco.
