The PlayEar App will automatically pause or turn down the volume of the music on your iPhone. The PlayEar App can be programmed to react to specific sounds such as phone rings and voices at certain pitch levels by filtering out normal background noise such as voices at low pitch levels, murmurings or door shutting.
While you are listening to music through earphones, the earpiece/microphone picks up surrounding sound. The sound is filtered and the PlayEar App determines if the sound is normal background noise or an important sound. If the PlayEar App determines the sound is important, it will pause or turn down the volume of the music automatically so you can answer your phone or listen to what is being said to you.
