What's New

1. Support for Southern Stars' SkyWire serial cable accessory, for "plug-and-play" telescope control.2. Support for Apple's iPad VGA adapter. You can now mirror SkySafari's display on an external monitor or big-screen TV.3. Push notifications and badges. With these, you can automatically receive notifications of celestial events, like eclipses and transits, discoveries of new comets, supernovae, or product-related announcements.4. Pure OpenGL rendering - this release has double graphics performance of the previous one!5. Shadows in the Solar System! SkySafari now shows lunar eclipses, and transits of Jupiter and Saturn’s moons - even the shadow Saturn casts on its rings.6. Constellations can now be depicted as mythical figures, in addition to "stick-figure" outlines and official boundaries.7. When star name density is below 10%, only stars with Bayer letters, Flamsteed numbers, or proper names will be labelled.8. This version has greatly improved wireless telescope connection reliability, especially on the iPad. It includes communication fixes for SiTech and Tangent Instruments-compatible telescope encoders.9. Observing lists can now be exported by email as plain-text and/or CSV files.
