After trying to make the iPhone use the microphone to measure wind speed for 2 weeks, I figured out it was not accurate enough!
But at least with this application, iWind, you can fool your friends by simulating the iPhone measuring wind speed!
There are four buttons on the main screen which simulate different wind speeds!
The bottom button is labeled "Push To Check Wind" but it is really four different buttons, one for each word!
Push the following buttons to simulate different wind speeds:

"Push" = 0-10 mph
"To" = 10-20 mph
"Check" = 20-30 mpg
"Wind" = 30-40 mph

So just pull out your iPhone, estimate the wind speed, and push the correct button and hold up the iPhone. Your friends will think the iPhone is measuring the wind!
