We all know the recent drop in the price of oil is only a temporary reprieve. As oil production is cut back worldwide and exploration projects are cancelled, it’s only a matter of time before the price of oil skyrockets again. Meanwhile, greenhouse gases pose a constant threat, and polar ice caps are continuing to melt at an alarming pace.

President Obama’s stimulus is a step in the right direction, but we all need to do more to focus on clean energy- both to help prevent global warming and to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. The world will be a very different place 30 years from now. What the world looks like for our children depends on what we do now.
