Description:

Using the Morse application you can translate text to Morse code. You can tap Morse code and have it translated to text. You can listen for Morse code using the microphone and have it translated to text. You can play and/or flash Morse code at 4 different speeds and three different pitches.

Type out text and have it translated to the familiar dot and dashes of Morse code. You can then press Play to hear the Morse code played or you can press Flash to have Morse code flashed full screen on your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can also adjust the speed and pitch of the Morse code.

In addition you can enter Morse code using the taps and swipes on the screen. It will convert these taps and swipes into dots and dashes using the preselected speed. The speed helps in translating the pause time into the proper number of spaces between dots and dashes in the same letter, between letters and between words.

The most unique feature of this application is that it can translate audio Morse code into text. Currently this is limited to 8 words per minute or slower but hopefully this can be improved upon in future releases if people find this feature useful. 8 words per minute in Morse code is defined as .15 seconds for a dot and .45 seconds for a dash. To use this feature place the microphone as close as reasonably possible to the source of the Morse code audio. This will ensure the greatest change in volume from the background noises.
