How to use:
1. Flat surface and straight line. AceRuler should be used on a flat surface for easy sliding, and the sliding should be a straight line without weaving.
2. Prepare: Run AceRuler, and lay down iPod Touch (or iPhone) on the surface with earphone jack toward the direction you want to slide. Align zero mark with start point.
3. Calibrate: Tap anywhere on the screen, AceRuler will start calibrating and began to count down.
4. Measure: When AceRuler indicates "Measuring, please slide the phone", slide iPod Touch (or iPhone) quickly and smoothly over the surface and stop when end point is within range of the virtual ruler.
5. Read: Tap anywhere on the screen to stop measuring. Read the length on the virtual ruler. Tap again to reset virtual ruler to its initial state.
Tips:
- While sliding, please try to keep earphone jack (Y axis) always toward moving direction.
- You can put a piece of paper under iPod Touch (or iPhone) if there is no protective cover.
- Slide quickly, and smoothly, avoid bumping and rotating.
