Gateway to 8K plan in a nutshell:

- You alternate between running and walking
- Takes 10 weeks to complete
- You workout 3 days per week
- Each workout session is from 42-62 minutes long (including 5 minutes warm up and 5 minutes cool down)

For example, the first week you run for 7 minutes then walk for 1 minute and repeat that four times.

The second week you increase to 8 minutes running and 1 minutes walking intervals, and so on until at week 10 you are able to run for 50 minutes straight which is roughly 8K (5 miles).
