Welcome to Langofone; English-Italian.

This version of Langofone comes preloaded with more than 1000 words. All words are translated from English in to Italian and then recorded by a native speaker.

This application includes the following packages:

Basic includes useful phrases like: "My name is ...", "How much is it?", "I love you" etc. Basic is divided in three parts, two lessons and one vocabulary.

Restaurant includes a set of phrases that are useful when you visit a restaurant. You will learn how to order, say cheers, ask for the bill, etc. Restaurant is divided in three parts, two lessons and one vocabulary.

Bar, is a package to facilitate communication when visiting a bar. If you know these phrases, you will definitely impress some people on your next visit to the bar. Bar is divided in three parts, two lessons and one vocabulary.

Shopping will teach you phrases that are necessary when you go shopping. You will learn how to ask for different colors, sizes and also how to bargain. Shopping is divided in two parts, one lesson and vocabulary.

Hotel is useful when you need to communicate with the hotel staff, including making complaints. Hotel is divided in two parts, one lesson and vocabulary.

Travel, this package is useful when travelling by air and at the airport. Travel is divided in two parts, one lesson and vocabulary.

Langofone consists of three features:
PhraseBook
You start by selecting a phrase. Listen to the phrase and repeat it in order to learn how to pronounce it. You can listen to the phrase an unlimited number of times by pressing the PLAY button. When you believe that you know how to pronounce it, you can record your pronunciation by pressing the RECORD button. When you have recorded a phrase you can listen to the original recording as well as your own. You can also analyze your recording by pressing the Analyze button. We will then compare your recording with the original recording and give you feedback consisting of four individual scores and a weighted average.

Quiz
You start by choosing a package. Langofone then randomly selects one phrase and five possible translations. You are allowed to listen to the audio file as many times as you wish. When you believe that you know what the audio file means, you make your selection. If you choose the correct translation, Langofone will tell you:
“Good answer!” and continues with a new phrase. If you make the wrong choice, Langofone tells you: “Sorry, wrong answer” and gives you the correct translation and then continues with a new phrase. All incorrect answers will be presented to you until you get them right.

Translate translates words and phrases from 12 language to 12 languages. Translate is based on Google Translate.
