QuickLists is not bloated with useless functionality and decoration, which keeps it fast. Add items to lists in notepad-style view; enter multiple lines of text, each line will become separate item on the list. If your are fast typist, this entering style is much faster than selecting each item separately from the list of possible items.

You can also use ListComposer Java application or Dashboard widget (downloadable from support website) to write your list on your computer and transfer it to QuickLists with a tap of a button.
