hmm 我有"一"張 used iPhone 2G sim card, 可以不用 redsnow也能正式開通 iPhone 2G, 不過如果要在 at&t外用就一定需要 unlock.

oh you should use pwnagetool in this case, make a custom firmware(with Cydia) and just restore it like usual then unlock it with bootneuter.

But you can try to search those custom firmware in BT =x

with the custom fm, you just have to restore like usual by holding "shift" key, select the custom firmware. Then install the Bootneuter under Cydia and just unlock it~

one thing though. The phone can turn on but itune can not connect to it since it's not activated. Also I am not sure I can perform the restore magic again. LOL

So, all I need is to find the "custom firmware" and restore it through itune?? Is there a custom 3.0 firmware for 2G?

The custom firmware is already "activated" and with Cydia "installed", just make sure you have download the correct one. I could make one but Jimmy has warn me back then about it... sharing custom firmware is illegal...

About the iTunes, you can first put the phone in "recovery mode" by holding the home button and plug the usb to the computer. Then it will pop a message in iTunes like the DFU mode but it will say Recovery mode instead, select the custom firmware by holding "shift" key then press "restore" button.

One more question. I can not get it to work on Itunes 8.2 so I downloaded Itunes 7.7, this time Itunes can not even be executed. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

You need iTunes 8.2 to get fm 3.0 on your iPhone.
