Yahoo新聞「iPhone升級錄音受限 使用者批」

iPhone在台灣造成風潮，不過有民眾抱怨，iPhone服務很差，強迫使用者要更新軟體版本，而自從更新到3.1版後，原本「無限制」錄音功能，卻變成只能錄30分鐘，但中華電信和Apple都互踢皮球，讓他們投訴無門。


2008年iPhone一開開賣就買，但沒想軟體愈更新愈爛，使用有問題，沒想到打到蘋果的客服客服電話，於是會自動掛電話的語音服務電話把責任推給了中華電信，中華電信和蘋果互踢皮球，讓消費者不得不懷疑3G升級後變重殘。


但新機3GS卻毫無問題，是Apple變相推銷新機，呼籲消費者一起站出來向Apple抗議，要求修改軟體或者換新機給使用者。

現在好像已經沒有媒體自己在跑新聞了，不是上BBS看網友在痛批什麼，就是上Youtube看什麼影片最多人看，順手拿起來抄；抄也不注意看一下當初po文的日期！
還有，大家習慣都說是Yahoo新聞，其實Yahoo自己沒有新聞部，只是提供一個平台供新聞媒體上載新聞，我是覺得還是把新聞的原始出處說出來比較好，看到底是哪些新聞媒體不長進！（不過好像都是）

Voice memo app wont record for longer then 30 minutes

As Christopher R Gillespie mentioned in this topic on Oct 28, 2009, the problem might be known to Apple under Bug ID#7253936.
Unfortunately, OS 3.1.3 does not fix the bug. Two weeks ago I got a new iPhone 3GS, which allowed to make a comparison with my older iPhone 3G.
Here are the results of recordings on Voice-Memos-unfriendly OS 3.1.x.
3GS model:
1) 77,766,869 bytes – 02 hrs 38 min 36 sec – 64 kbit/sec
2) 77,766,876 bytes - 02 hrs 38 min 36 sec – 64 kbit/sec
3) 77,762,685 bytes - 02 hrs 38 min 35 sec – 64 kbit/sec
For the sake of comparison, 3G model recordings:
1) 77,831,489 bytes – 37 min 53 sec – 273 kbit/sec
2) 77,838,361 bytes – 30 min 54 sec – 335 kbit/sec
3) 77,836,038 bytes – 31 min 38 sec – 327 kbit/sec
Clearly, there is some kind of boundary in OS 3.1.x that stops Voice Memos recording when file size reaches ~ 77,760,000 – 77,840,000 bytes.
iPhone 3GS bitrate of 64 kbit/sec allows to “fit” about 2.5 hours into that size, while older iPhone 3G “thick” bitrate only allows about half an hour.
Also, it is worth mentioning that when making all three test recordings with 3GS model, less than half of the battery charge was used. Which means that if Apple fixes the OS 3.1.x bug, reverting Voice Memos to OS 3.0.x state, as far as the battery is concerned, 3GS on a single charge might be able to record approx. 15 hours (with recording size being around 466,800,000 bytes at 64 kbit/sec).
Hope the results of the experiment be useful in understanding what can reliably be expected from Voice Memos on OS 3.1-3.1.3 on iPhone 3G vs. 3GS (similarly to the case described in this topic by Nick-O on Dec 16, 2009, I too missed an important piece of recording after this bug was introduced in OS 3.1).

我以為都會有 30 分鐘錄音限制....

原來是只有 iPhone 3G 才會這樣

他所限制的似乎是容量
只不過是因為3G和3Gs的錄音取樣率不同
導致錄製的時間長短也不同
