Safety Sweep Timer is an app for Navy submarine Officers of the Deck and Fire Control Technicians to keep track of their ship's safety sweep or look interval. Better than the kitchen egg timer your XO picked up at the Exchange, this utility provides tactile feedback, via vibration, to let you know it's time to raise the second scope.

Simply dial in the desired interval, based on conditions and traffic, drop it in your pocket, and give it a shake to start or reset the countdown. When your iPhone starts to buzz, you've got 10 seconds before you violate your safety sweep interval (this time can be adjusted in the settings).
