Common reasons for remote controls to fail

If you tested your remote control and identified that the LED is not emitting, you may want to try the following (ordered by how common the fix will work):

* Change batteries. Unless you changed them very recently, this may be the issue.

* Clean corrosion. In many cases corrosion under the keypad prevent the remote control to identify a key was pressed.**

* Check if LED or any other part in the remote control is disconnected. Fixing may require soldering.**

* LED is damaged, you may have to replace it.

* Electronic parts on the PCB are damaged (maybe due to humidity) and have to be replaced.
