Universal Tricorder turns your iPhone into a space aged scanner capable of detecting all sorts of environmental and psychological anomalies.

Well, actually, it's a novelty app designed to play tricks on friends and family. Almost the same thing.

When you tilt the phone right a fraction, the iPhone displays a message. It's up to you what the message says, but the cheekier the better.

If your victim doesn't believe it's a true scanner, just point it at yourself, gently tilt it the other way. The polite message it says about you can only confirm its accuracy.

The Universal Tricorder can be customized to detect virtually anything you can think up.
