inTouch uses and extends the Apple Address Book functionality and your existing Apple Address Book data.

inTouch uses your existing Apple Address Book contacts and Groups to:
• Create and maintain the link with inTouch.
• Display your Apple Address Book ‘Contacts’ by all contacts, or People, or People by Organization or Organization.
• Color code People and Organization for easier viewing.
• Display your upcoming birthdays and anniversaries for the current day, the coming week and the coming month.
• Identify import errors for contacts such as contact name in the Organization field or vice versa.

inTouch extends the existing Apple Address Book functionality by:
• Using the concept of Apple Address Book contacts;
- vCards can be sent from one contact to another.

• Using the concept of Apple Address Book Groups:
- Groups can be created, edited and deleted.
- Any number of contacts from the Apple Address Book can be added to a Group.
- An E-mail can be sent to the membership of a Group.
- A Group and its membership can be added to an Event.
- Groups are color coded for easier viewing.

• Adding the concept of Activities (for example Golf):
- Activities can be created, edited and deleted.
- Any number of contacts from the Apple Address Book can be added to an Activity.
- An E-mail can then be sent to all contacts within an Activity.
- An Activity and its members can be added to an Event.
- Activities are color coded for easier viewing.

• Adding the concept of Events (for example a Golf Tournament on 25th January 2009 from 10:00 until 16:00 at St Andrews Golf Club)
- Events can be created, edited and deleted.
- Any number of contacts from the Apple Address Book can be added to an Event.
- Groups and Activities together with their membership can be added to an Event.
- An E-mail containing an iCal invitation for an Event can be sent to all contacts, Groups and Activities within an Event.
- Events are color coded for easier viewing.

inTouch also allows you to backup and restore your inTouch data externally and store personal preferences for sending E-mail and vCard’s.
