Description:An interactive iPhone game for preschool to first-grade aged children to have fun while learning to identify simple words and develop reading skills.
Children are presented with a series of twenty screens, each with an image representing a three or four-letter word, a voice-over saying the word, and four words to select from. The object is to select the word that corresponds to the image. Each time a child selects a word, a voice-over provides the pronunciation of it. When the correct word is selected, the pronunciation is followed by the sound of fanfare and applause, coupled with animated fireworks all providing positive feedback, and helping children to build confidence in their abilities. A “NEXT” button takes them to the next screen.
The screens are presented at random, so that each time a child begins the game they will see a different screen. In addition, the order of the word choices is randomized. Random order keeps the game fresh and the challenge high.
Please note, the sound effects are not available for iPod Touch.
