iKenteken is an application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that enables you to do a lookup with the RDW (Rijks Dienst Wegverkeer) to receive data of different motor vehicles, by entering the license plate (kenteken in Dutch) information. It also enables you to calculate the vehicle excise duty (motorrijtuigenbelasting in Dutch) of these different motor vehicles. The application is only able to do lookup for dutch license plates (kentekens).

This application enables you to for example do a lookup of the vehicle you have just spotted to receive detailed information of this vehicle, at any given time (if an internet connection is available). By simply inputting the license plate information (nummerbord) of the vehicle which you have spotted, you will have access to detailed information within seconds.

You will be able to see (amongst others) the following information:
- Brand
- Type
- Color
- Type of fuel
- Engine displacement
- Number of cylinders
- Horsepower
- Energy label
- Taxes
