Description:ReaderGenie is a quick, entertaining way to find books your child or teen will enjoy. We have distilled opinions of readers, critics, librarians, and parents to find the books that are the most memorable and the best reads. Use the iPhone’s unique search scroll bars to search on up to seven different variables simultaneously.
Choose your child’s age, favorite subject, or favorite type of book (genre) and search. ReaderGenie will return a list of much-loved books that meet your search criteria. Does your child like to read about dogs? Search on “dog” under Animal Protagonist. Want to use a book to address a certain issue or emotion with your child? You can choose from twenty-nine different emotions and issues. Want to encourage your child to be kind? Courageous? A good friend? Use the Values search to identify books that have those themes, but do not beat you over the head with moralistic prose. Enter the search terms you would like (you can use as many variables as you want), press “Search” and Zip-Zoop! Your results will be displayed without ever typing a single character on your iPhone. Your wish is ReaderGenie’s command.
You can choose new or used books from a variety of well-known online stores including Amazon, Abebooks, A1Books, and Powell’s Bookstore. Once you have found the book you want at the price you want, click on the store name and ReaderGenie will take you to the online store where it is available. Ordering is quick and easy.
