Description:Election 2009 iPhone app aims to provide information about the latest projections of seats that major political parties of India are anticipated to win who are contesting in the 15th Indian General Election.
The app shows the latest poll trends of major political parties present in India that are expected to form the next government like the Indian National Congress along with its alliance parties (INC+) and Bharatiya Janta Party along with its alliance parties (BJP+).
The projections are based on the opinions collected from various sources like the press, media reports, etc… and is displayed as ‘Exit Poll’ in the chart along with the graph.
To make the application more interactive, the user of the app can do their own predictions and cast their opinion in terms of their projections for the total 543 seats being contested all across India, the result of which is displayed as ‘My App Poll’ which shows the average result based on all the users using the app.
The app also provides information about the results of previous election which was held in the year 2004.
The second tab of the application provides listing all 28 States of India along with information like:
• Map of the State
• Current ruling party in that state
• Seats contested in each state
• Date of election in each state
On clicking any state, the app user can do election prediction by casting their opinion in terms of number of seats that each political party contesting in that particular state is expected to win.
Map of the State is being displayed along with the photograph of current Chief Minister of that state.
The third tab is ‘Poll PM’ where you will find a list of candidates who are most popular and front runners for the post of Prime Minister of India. Users can give ratings from 1-5 to candidates based on their liking to rate their projected Prime Minister of India.
The fourth tab is the ‘News’ tab which lists the headlines of the latest news happenings in India. On clicking any headline, the user can view the details of that particular news title. The information is being sources from various press and media reports.
