When the Founding Fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, that was a job well done.

When they wrote the Bill of Rights, that was a job well done, too.

But then they got drunk and decided that each State needed a motto. Something more for elementary school children to memorize that will never come in handy.

We've recovered the actual, historical files that shows the first draft of the slogans for the States. Fortunately, the Fathers knew that we'd end up with 50 States, so they planned ahead. Who said they didn't have a sense of humor? I bet they liked blond jokes, too.
