Zen Nihongo is a flash-card application designed to aid you in studying the Japanese language. The application uses a special algorithm to schedule cards depending on how you grade them.

In brief, cards which you are having difficulty with will be repeated a lot more often than cards which you are more familiar with. That way, you get to study the cards which you haven't really retained yet. This enables you to work on it gradually until it proceeds to your long-term memory. Once there, the application will dynamically schedule the cards to repeat with longer intervals in order for you to continually retain them.
