Description:This application is a reference for the state fishing regulations of over 50 Atlantic and Gulf species in the state of Florida.
Some of the species included are: Amberjack, Rudderfish, the three major billfish species, Black Drum, Bluefish, Bonefish, Cobia, Dolphin, Flounder, Gag, over 10 Grouper species, Hogfish, King and Spanish Mackerel, Mullet, Permit, Pompano, African Pompano, Red Drum, Red Porgy, Black Sea Bass, Shad, Sharks, Sheepshead, many species of Snapper, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Swordfish, Tarpon, Golden Tilefish, Triggerfish, Wahoo, and Weakfish.
Information like bag limit, minimum size, maximum size, special regional regulations, and season start/end dates are provided for each fish (where applicable). Nicknames and/or scientific names are also provided for most species.
The regulations in this application are based off the summary regulations provided by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. As these regulations are updated on the Commission's website, this application will be updated for free for 2009.
