Tunes Quiz uses new APIs available in IPhone OS 3.0 to access the songs in your iPod library to find out how much you actually know about your music.

When you play, you have 10 seconds to answer a question about a song that Tunes Quiz randomly picks from your iTunes library. Based on modes that you can enable/disable, you’re asked to identify either the song, album, or artist being played, from 4 choices displayed. You have up to 10 seconds to choose the correct answer and you receive 1 point for each second left on the timer when you answer correctly. You lose 1 point for each incorrect answer you pick. If you run out of time or if you answer correctly, Tunes Quiz tells you the artist and song title of the song that was playing, in case you rediscover a song that you haven’t heard in a while.

Tunes Quiz keeps track of your 10 highest scores, and tells you how many points you need to get a new high score. Every time the app is interrupted by a phone call or you quit it, it automatically transfers your score to the high scores list. If you lock your device, Tunes Quiz pauses and you can reopen it right where you left off, with nothing lost.
