* Transferring a whole bunch of numbers from your existing phone.

* Getting somebody's phone number or email as fast as possible, before they get tired of looking at the back of your iPhone.

* Entering contact info via the wide landscape keyboard.

* Making sure a valuable new contact is quickly saved (instead of losing it because you forgot to hit that last "Save" or a phone call came in... Doh!)

Note that to edit or view existing contacts, you will still need to use the Contacts app.
