George Hotz, creator of one of the most widely used jailbreaking tools, BlackRa1n, and the first person to successfully hack the PlayStation 3, has finished his latest jailbreak, for the iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3rd Generation (UNTETHERED!!!), and the iPad. Yes, the iPad. This jailbreak is designed to work on 3.1.3, for the iPhone 3Gs, and iPod Touch 3G, and 3.2, for the iPad. GeoHot, stated that if people don’t stop bugging him on releasing the jailbreak, it never will release. On the other hand, the GreenPois0n team, finished the jailbreak yesterday (3/30/10). But the big part is, the iPod Touch 3G untethered jailbreak is done; so now, you don’t have to re-jailbreak every time you turn it off. The BlackRa1n RC4 will be the same as the previous RC3. My guess is that since both Chronic Dev Team, and GeoHot are trying to beat each other, they’re probably going to release it this Saturday.
