How to play:
Nonograms board is a square grid. Each cell on the grid can be either on or off.
The top and left edges of the grid contain hint numbers. The hints describe the chain of connected marked cells that appear in the row or column. For example, if the hints for a row is 3 2, it means that the row has three consecutive cells marked, followed by at least on non-marked cell, and the two consecutive marked cells.
The puzzle is solved when all the cells are filled-in correctly.
Use the 'X' to specify that a particular cell cannot be marked.

*** from aerael: "overall, this is a pretty good execution of a picross, or nonogram puzzle. unfortunately, the current version won't run on an ipad, where the 20x20 puzzles would be ideal. another feature that would improve the current version would be the ability to drag your finger across the screen to fill in a row or column with squares of the same type."

HCG answers: Thanks for taking the time to review! The iPad version is coming soon, as you asked. About dragging the finger, it would be good for 5-10 sizes, but impossible to aim on larger puzzles. I decided to go for consistency - I hope you enjoy the game!

HCG answers: Right, no pictures. It's just not that type of game! Many people play Nonograms for the puzzle challenge and are satisfied to solve a good puzzle regardless of how the result look. Puzzles that have a picture often compromise of the puzzle-challenge aspect, which is why I opted for no pictures.
