What are the critics such as TUAW and AppAdvice saying?
"dramatically sharper detail" (bit.ly/9qO0tz)
"definitely a worthwhile feature" (bit.ly/czBBQG)
"resolution enhancement is second to none"
(bit.ly/bHNNAE)
"clearer and sharper...way less noise!" (bit.ly/adlEJp)
We all know anti-shake features are nice for making sure the camera is steady, but how many times have you either missed the moment trying to settle the camera, or gotten a blurry picture anyway because of rambunctious pets, kids or friends? 25%? Maybe 50%?
ClearCam's quick mode is designed specifically to eliminate blur without missing the moment. Just point and shoot when any great photo opportunity arises, and quick mode's advanced processing will take care of the rest. With ClearCam you'll come to trust your iPhone camera in all situations.
And for those once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities ClearCam's enhanced mode will produce the clearest and sharpest images possible on an iPhone with more than twice the resolution of the native camera.
⺠How do I know it's working? Put it to the test:
Quick Mode Challenge (easy): Go for a brisk walk. Without stopping, and without taking time to settle the camera, take a bunch of ClearCam photos. To really push the limits, do this with low light levels. On the way back, fire up your app of choice and do the same. The results will speak for themselves.
Enhanced Mode Challenge (more effort): Find a still shot with lots of detail. The cover of a book or magazine for example. Set the camera somewhere stable like the edge of a desk where it can capture your scene and take an enhanced photo. Process it and save it to your camera roll (see below if it isn't obvious how). Take the same shot with your camera app of choice and save to your camera roll. Export them into a program that allow you to zoom in significantly and examine the detail. Again, the results will speak for themselves.
⺠How do I do create, view and save an enhanced 11MP image using ClearCam? It's pretty easy, but in case you have trouble, come back and read this:
1) Capture
After selecting enhanced mode, press the capture button to quickly capture 6 raw images and save them to the local queue.
2) Align
Select the queue button in the lower right to view the images and align the 6 images to sub-pixel accuracy by pressing the align button.
3) Enhance
Apply super resolution processing to the images by pressing the enhance button.
4) View and share
Once the processing is complete you can view the images using the multi-touch zoom functionality and save the enhanced image to the Camera Roll using the available controls. Use copy and paste from the Camera Roll into email to send the full resolution image.
⺠Advanced Tips:
Take multiple photos without waiting. ClearCam is ready for more as soon as the lens icon lights up.
If multiple photos are saving, you can turn your audio switch ON and lock your iPhone. ClearCam will continue to save in your pocket, and vibrate when it's done.
Lock your phone and keep ClearCam running. When you unlock, ClearCam will be ready almost instantly.
