NOTE: This is not a real time WiFi scanner, it's a database of locations to be used as a reference tool.

Oz WiFi features Australia's largest database of free and paid WiFi hotspots, with over 1700 hotspots already added. The hotspots are gathered from Telstra, Optus, Azure, McDonalds, Internode, iiNet and much more.

Oz WiFi uses the GPS capabilities of the iPhone to find the nearest hotspots around you and calculates the distance, as well as providing you a direct link to the hotspot in Google Maps. You can also manually search streets or suburbs for higher accuracy or pre trip planning.

Alternatively you can search by places. Places include airports, bars, cafes, hotels, hotzones, libraries, restaurants, shopping centres and stores. Searching places allows you to filter the nearest hotspots by a particular place, which makes filtering searches much more efficient.
