days is a Personal Information Manager application that stores you important dates. The application displays the date information in ascending days-to-go order, or you can instantly switch between A-Z and days-to-go/gone. In addition, the age (years, months, and days) is calculated from the start date and today and the next event date is displayed on the main lists pages. You can choose to display the days in actual day count or time span formats ("429d" or "1y 2m 3d").

The application is designed for quick entry of date information (requiring only a date and optional title, notes, and user defined category). There are no built in categories, the category picker is dynamically created based on the categories you enter, which you can then use to filter the lists by category.

Dates are split into three broad independent groupings. These are:

Use this tab for keeping track of important dates coming up in the future:

- Warranties Expiring
- Membership / Subscription Renewals

- Legal Documents Expiring
- Bank Cards Expiring
- Project Deadlines
- Appointments
- House Chores
- Equipment Maintenance
- Vacations

This tab works great as a to-do reminder for scheduled chores and maintenance tasks, in these cases just enter the task once, and edit the date to the next due date when completed. After the date is reached, this list displays minus days in red to indicate how many days have past since the event was due.

Please note that each of the above lists hold independent information in separate files, each with the categories you define within the tab. There is a copy function which allows moving events across the 3 list types.

E-Mail Backup and Share
=======================

All events can be exported for backup, printing, exporting, or sharing via the e-mail functions.

- Send elegantly formatted HTML Tables
- Export events for importing into Desktop applications (tab delimeted plain text files)
- Backup events for automatic re-import back in the days app using the e-mail file attachment feature. Just tap and hold the attachment file in the e-mail and choose the "Open in Days" option.
- Share Event Details with any other days app user. Just select the events to share and e-mail them to another days user. They will be presnted with the events and can choose which items to import.
- The e-mail options also let you specify which items to include in the mail (Annual Events, Days Gone, Days To Go), and if in category filtering mode, specify whether only the current filtered category should be sent.

A Restore function is provided in case of accidental import. A backup file is created with current event details before each Restore/Merge operation.

Date Calculator
===============
There is a built in date calculator screen which can be used to get the difference between two dates, or using the unit picker, derive a new date by adding calendar units to a base date.

What's New

New Backup/Restore and Selected Export/Import feature for transferring and sharing day event details across iOS devices. These features utilize the new e-mail File Document Support features of iOS 3.2 (for iPad) and iOS 4.0 (for iPhone)

- You can now create backup files for full restore across any iOS device. The backup file is created by the app and sent internally to an e-mail address of your choice. On an iOS device you can tap and hold the e-mail file attachment, and the data will be presented in the days app. You can then decide whether to Replace current data or merge with current data, and you can also select which items you need.

- You can now send days event details to anybody else who also has the days app for automatic importing. You can select which items to send individually, and the receiver will be presented with these items within the app (using the same e-mail file attachment feature above). They can then choose which items they want importing.

- A Restore function is provided in case of accidental import. A backup file is created with current event details before each Restore/Merge function.

This update will work on any iPhone device with iPhone versions from 3.0, and can be used to send full / selected backup data via e-mail. The new import features will only work on iPad and from iOS 4.0 iPhone versions.
